So today I went for my first ride of 2005. It was 33 degrees when I left for work this morning and that is extremely cold at 80+ mph. It took about 4 hours for the feeling to come back in my hands and that was with me wearing gloves. The ride home was so worth it. It was 70 degrees with a full sun. I can’t wait for warm days and cool nights. There were also a lot of motorcycle accidents happening today. People in cars (cages) apparently just aren’t used to respecting the space taken up by those on two wheels. Hopefully that changes soon and we see less in the way of cars cutting off bikes.

Of computer gaming that is, there were games like Privateer and Wing Commander that everyone had to get their hands on. These games were way ahead of their time and the systems to run them had to be as well. Well if you remember these games and miss them just a little there are open source remakes being done as we read. You can head over to the Wing Commander Privateer remake site and download a visually updated but still classic version of Privateer. You can also head over to the Vegastrike site on sourceforge for another open source classic space game in progress. Have fun remembering the good ole days. Believe me these will take you back.

The husband had just finished reading the book, MAN OF THE HOUSE. He stormed into the kitchen and walked directly up to
his wife. Pointing a finger in her face, he said, “From now on, I want you to know that I am the man of this house, and my word is law! I want you to prepare me a gourmet meal tonight, and when I’m finished eating my meal, I expect a sumptuous dessert afterward. Then, after dinner, you’re going to draw me my bath so I can relax. And when I’m finished with my bath, guess who’s
going to dress me and comb my hair?”

His wife replied, “The funeral director.”
