The origami project from Microsoft is causing quite a bit of curiosity on the tech boards..is there anything to it? I will be watching with everyone else to see if this device merits all the hype!

Update, as people speculate, Microsoft is keeping the details pretty tight.

News you can use: Origami is nothing special, too bad, we really want that all in one little wonder we can use as a portable office and entertainment center!

Pretty cute device, the official marketing blah is on MS website. Bet we’ll start seeing it in Sci-Fi shows (Stargate Atlantis already uses tablets exclusively to appear hi-tech). Sure would like to play with one!

Alright - anyone who knows me knows I am interested in politics, and primarily with making government accountable and SMALLER. The National Taxpayers Union (non-partisan) has rated our reps on “the strength of support for reducing spending and regulation and opposing higher taxes.” Check it out and see how your state measures up! Then when you’re good and mad, call your rep and tell them to stop spending OUR money so frivolously.

Flynn research has developed a motor capable of generating electricity 4 times more efficiently than current motor designs. The amazing thing is all he really did was add carefully placed permanent magnets in addition to the current placement in standard motors. No special exotic minerals or chemicals here. This could really help the automotive industry especially in a time when we want to massively reduce our need for oil. Way to go Flynn!

The movie itself was better than I thought it would be and I found it very interesting. It just shows how little input (besides negative) we have on this planet. Anyway if you did watch the movie this article I just read will hit home and maybe even freak you out a little. :-)

I have had this turned on for a long time now and have used it many times on Pocket PC. It has dawned on me tonight that many people may not know it exists. I’m talking about Microsoft’s Cleartype technology. If you haven’t used it yet I think your eyes would thank you to give it a try. It is built into Windows XP but is turned off by default. I could give you step by step instructions on how to turn it on but I don’t want to. Just kidding, I will do you one better. Just follow this link and it will take you to the Microsoft Cleartype web tuner. Not only will it automatically turn it on for you but it will make it look the best for your eyes. Pretty cool eh? You can thank me later.
