Google shell interface

Stefan Grothkopp has come up with a pretty neat tool called goosh. It’s essentially a browser-oriented, shell-like interface that allows you to quickly search Google (and images and news) and Wikipedia and get information in a text-only format. It works very well and I must say it’s nice to do command line searching.

Is that a Keylogger in your Dell?

A man working on a brand new Dell notebook noticed something odd and decided to look into it. What he found was that Dell had installed a hardware keylogger on their notebooks. The response from Dell and Homeland Security is very interesting. You can read about it and see pictures here.

Microsoft Live Labs Photosynth

I played with this a while back and it is quite impressive. It allows you to take multiple random photos of say a location and generate a 3D image from them. You can try it out here with the technical preview of it. I am sure this software will be expensive when it goes live.
